Chiranjeevi, the legendary actor in Indian cinema, recently received the prestigious Padma Vibhushan from the government of India for his remarkable contributions to the film industry. Overwhelmed by the honor, Chiranjeevi expressed, “After hearing this news, I became speechless.”

In a heartwarming gesture of appreciation, a devoted fan paid homage to the veteran actor by displaying his picture on the iconic billboards of Times Square in New York, USA. A video capturing the grand display has been circulating on Instagram and other platforms, showcasing Chiranjeevi’s image adorned with a congratulatory message for achieving India’s highest civilian award.

The display at Times Square, orchestrated by fans Srinivas Naidu and Timmy Cheedala, features Chiranjeevi in a white pattu pancha ensemble. The billboard proudly reads, “Congratulations Megastar Chiranjeevi garu for achieving India’s most prestigious and highest civilian award – Padma Vibhushan.”

The overwhelming support extends beyond fans, with celebrities such as Jr NTR, Mammootty, and Mahesh Babu joining the chorus of congratulations on social media. Some filmmakers visited Chiranjeevi personally, while his family, including Ram Charan, Upasana Konidela, Varun Tej, Allu Arjun, and others, shared heartfelt messages across social platforms.

Chiranjeevi, a recipient of the Padma Bhushan in 2006, is renowned not only for his cinematic contributions but also for his philanthropic endeavors. In 1998, he established the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust (CCT) and Chiranjeevi Blood and Eye Banks, making significant contributions to blood and eye donation drives. During the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic, Chiranjeevi played a crucial role in supporting film industry workers who faced job losses.

Looking ahead, Chiranjeevi, with over 160 films to his credit in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada, is set to grace the screen once again. After his recent appearance in Meher Ramesh’s Bholaa Shankar, a remake of the Tamil film Vedalam, he is gearing up for his next project, Vishwambhara, directed by Vasshista Mallidi, slated for release in Sankranthi 2025.
