Amazon MGM Studios has finally unveiled the first trailer for its forthcoming remake of the 1989 action classic “Road House.” The highly anticipated feature is set to premiere globally on Prime Video on March 21, introducing a revamped narrative and an ensemble cast led by the talented Jake Gyllenhaal.

Gyllenhaal takes on the role of Elwood Dalton, a former UFC fighter grappling with financial struggles. The plot unfolds as Dalton, found sleeping in his car by the owner of a Florida Keys roadhouse, transforms into a bouncer. He unwittingly becomes entangled in a conflict involving outlaws, bikers (featuring the real-life mixed martial artist Conor McGregor in his debut acting role), and a determined developer aiming to construct a luxurious resort catering to the affluent.

Joining Gyllenhaal in this cinematic venture is an array of accomplished actors, including Jessica Williams, who plays the roadhouse owner. Williams, known for her role in “Shrinking,” lauds Gyllenhaal as an “insane actor” and expresses the joy of collaborative learning on set. The diverse cast also includes Billy Magnussen, Daniela Melchior, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Lukas Gage, Hannah Love Lanier, Travis Van Winkle, B.K. Cannon, Arturo Castro, Dominique Columbus, Beau Knapp, and Bob Menery.
