The unveiling of Jai Hanuman came with a captivating poster featuring the words “Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha Jai Hanuman begins…” In a second image, Prasanth Varma was seen holding the script in front of a Lord Hanuman temple, dressed in traditional attire.
The HanuMan cast, led by Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Vinay Rai, has already propelled the film to over ₹100 crore at the worldwide box office. Written by Prashanth Varma, the Telugu-language superhero film is set in the fictional village of Anjanadri, marking the inception of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU).

Noteworthy for its philanthropic initiatives, the makers of HanuMan pledged to donate ₹5 for every ticket sold to the Ram Mandir. In a commendable display of commitment, they presented a cheque of ₹14,85,810 from the 2,97,162 tickets sold during the film’s premieres. Additional contributions are anticipated, with ₹2,66,41,055 expected from the 53,28,211 tickets sold.
Speaking about the film, Teja Sajja conveyed his excitement, stating, “The very idea of doing a superhero film is very exciting for me, has been exciting throughout the process. In this film, a young boy gets superpowers by the grace of Lord Hanuman and then how he fights for his people and his religion.”
He emphasized the film’s unique blend of superhero action, comedy, and historical context, proclaiming it to be a captivating and entertaining cinematic experience that seamlessly intertwines Indian ‘itihaas’ with the superhero concept.
