Google has recently introduced the Pixel 8 Pro, which boasts an exclusive feature known as ‘Pro Controls’. This remarkable addition provides users with advanced camera settings, elevating their photography experience. It is important to note that this feature has been exclusively released for the Pixel 8 Pro, with no availability for the standard Pixel 8 model.

The latest professional controls incorporated into the camera application on the Pixel 8 Pro device empower users to modify camera-specific parameters such as ISO, shutter speed, aperture size, and more. This enhancement elevates the photography experience on Pixel phones to a professional level.
However, it has been discovered by a user of X that the professional controls, which are exclusively available on the Pixel 8 Pro, can be accessed on any Pixel phone equipped with a Tensor chipset.

The user shared a post on X platform, showcasing the professional camera capabilities of the Pixel 7 Pro. Within her thread, she mentioned having obtained early access to the Google Camera apk from the aforementioned device and subsequently applied modifications to enable the functionality on an older Pixel model. She stated, “…It has been discovered that the feature functions seamlessly on any Tensor Pixel device, ranging from the Pixel 6 to the Pixel 7 Pro.”

The Pixel 8 Pro houses a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 48-megapixel telephoto lens accompanied by Super Res Zoom, enabling a maximum zoom capability of 30 times. For self-portraits, it boasts a 10.5-megapixel front-facing camera. The device encompasses an extensive array of camera functionalities, encompassing Magic Editor, Best Take, Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Motion auto-focus, Dual exposure controls, and Live HDR+.
