In a particularly concerning case, a user even experienced screen failure, with dead pixels becoming apparent around the hinge area of their OnePlus Open unit. Despite these developments, OnePlus has not yet acknowledged these emerging problems. It is worth noting that these issues have arisen mere weeks after the company implemented a complimentary lifetime screen warranty for its customers.
Multiple instances in the r/oneplus thread highlight the occurrence of random green lines on the foldable display of the OnePlus Open. These lines can be quite noticeable, resulting in a disruptive user experience.
However, based on past occurrences, it is possible that this issue is software-related. Notably, various OnePlus models, including the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 9, exhibited green lines on their OLED panels following the installation of the stable OxygenOS 13 update.
OnePlus may possess knowledge of the potential display issues and have proactively implemented measures to resolve them in advance.

OnePlus India released a statement in August expressing regret for the inconvenience caused by display problems on certain devices. They advised users to seek device diagnosis at the nearest OnePlus service center and extended a complimentary screen replacement service for all affected devices.
