Apple is preparing to launch new models of iPad Air, iPad Pro, and MacBook Air in the upcoming spring season. These devices could potentially hit the market as early as March or April. Once these releases take place, the focus will then shift towards Apple’s annual developers conference, WWDC, which is scheduled for June, reports MacRumors.

Apple’s entire iPad lineup is set for a shakeup in 2024, with dynamic updates and hardware changes expected. From a bigger iPad Air, to OLED screens in iPad Pro, here’s what rumors suggest.

The upcoming iPad Air is anticipated to come in two different display sizes: 10.9 inches and 12.9 inches. Speculations and possibilities for the next iPad Air models suggest the inclusion of Apple’s M2 chip, which will enhance its performance.
Additionally, there might be a redesigned rear camera bump, support for Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. However, no significant alterations to the external design are anticipated. It is worth noting that the current fifth-generation iPad Air, equipped with the M1 chip, was launched in March 2022.
It is widely anticipated that the upcoming 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models will be the first iPads to feature OLED displays.
By incorporating OLED technology, the next iPad Pro displays will provide enhanced brightness, a higher contrast ratio, reduced power consumption, and various other advantages when compared to the current models equipped with LCD panels. Apple has already implemented OLED displays in their latest iPhone and Apple Watch models, with the exception of the lower-end iPhone SE.

The forthcoming iPad Pro iterations are rumored to incorporate Apple’s cutting-edge M3 chip, which will enhance their performance capabilities. These models will feature MagSafe wireless charging and a revamped Magic Keyboard boasting a larger trackpad and an aluminum top casing. Similar to the iPad Air, modifications to the rear camera bump may also be implemented in the iPad Pro. It is worth noting that the existing iPad Pro models, equipped with the M2 chip, were launched in October 2022.
Apple is preparing to launch several MacBook Airs equipped with the M3 chip during the spring season. This suggests that the upcoming 13-inch and 15-inch models will be released together this year, deviating from the previous practice of separate launches.

The inclusion of the M3 chip in the next MacBook Air models will enhance their graphics rendering capabilities in games, thanks to hardware-accelerated ray tracing and mesh shading. This will result in more precise lighting, reflections, and shadows. It is worth noting that Apple had already introduced the M3 chip to the 14-inch MacBook Pro, 16-inch MacBook Pro, and 24-inch iMac in the previous year.
