An odd debate on-line over the pasta images is whether or not the noodles have been cooked. Some speculated that though they regarded cooked, it might have simply been from publicity to rain.
However [community leader Nina] Jochnowitz stated the pasta was certainly cooked.

On Thursday, township spokesman Himanshu Shah stated in an electronic mail that the pasta was raw.
