Google is said to be preparing for the release of the Pixel Watch 3 smartwatch in two different sizes. Although the precise dimensions of the cases remain undisclosed, it is anticipated that the larger variant will surpass the 41mm size of the Pixel Watch 2.

A larger enclosure would enable Google to accommodate a bigger screen, such as a 1.3-inch display, and a larger battery for enhanced battery life, reports GizmoChina.

Additionally, it would provide room for additional health sensors. The upcoming iteration of the Pixel Watch 3 is anticipated to utilize 22mm bands, which are wider compared to the 20mm bands found in the current model.

To enhance its aesthetics, Google should also minimize the bezel surrounding the screen. This larger Pixel Watch would be ideal for individuals with larger wrists or those in need of a longer-lasting battery. While the Pixel Watch 2 already boasts a 24-hour battery life with its always-on display feature, a larger model would likely offer an even more impressive battery performance.

The anticipated release date for the Pixel Watch 3 is set for early October, coinciding with the launch of the new Pixel 9 series, which aligns with Google’s previous release patterns. In terms of its internal technology, it is likely to feature the Snapdragon W5 chipset, similar to its predecessor, the Pixel Watch 2, as there have been no reports of a new chipset for Wear OS.

Google recently initiated the rollout of the December Feature drop updates to the Pixel smartphones. This update is considered to be the most significant one so far, providing a wide range of beneficial improvements. Furthermore, the monthly update is now accessible for Google’s first and second-generation smartwatches running on WearOS 4.

The feature drop brings a range of convenient functionalities, bug fixes, and performance enhancements to enhance the overall smartwatch experience.

Additionally, the December update introduces the Pixel Watch, equipped with version TWD9.231205.001, which includes the ‘Do not Disturb’ and ‘Bedtime modes’. These features are already available on the latest-generation smartwatch.
