The American actress recalls being ignored on The Office finale during her recent appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers. Dakota Johnson has a cameo appearance in The Office series, which ran from 2005 to 2013.

The Madame Web actress explained she was thrilled to star as a guest on the popular NBC show, The Office, but it didn’t go as she planned.

“That was honestly the worst time of my life,” the 34-year-old actress joked about her filming experience. “They were like, ‘Do you want to be in the series finale?’ And I was like, ‘Of course,’ thinking that I’d show up for like half a day.” The one-time star continued, “I was there for two weeks, and I’m barely in the fucking show.”

While most Dunder Mifflin workers had fond memories of their time in The Office, Johnson felt a little differently as she was barely there and reportedly spoke in a total of two scenes in the series finale.

“There were weird dynamics that had been going on for the last 10 years,” the actress further explained. “Some people didn’t speak to each other. And I’m coming in like, ‘So excited to be here!’ And no one wanted to talk to me,” Johnson recalled her somewhat awkward filming experience, “No one gave a fuck. … I was like in the background of all of these scenes, faxing things.”

Johnson’s cameo on The Office came a few years before her breakout role as Anastasia Steele in the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy. Besides Dakota, the show’s series finale also featured many notable guest stars, like Steve Carrell, Rachael Harris, B.J. Novak, Mindy Kaling, Joan Cusack, Ed Begley Jr, as well as Seth Meyers.

Meanwhile, Dakota Johnson’s upcoming Sony-Marvel film, Madame Web is set to open in theatres on February 14, 2024, worldwide.
