Amid the ongoing Israel-Gaza war, Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie was slammed for her comments on Palestine.

Angelina Jolie’s father and Oscars winner actor Jon Voight, has publicly scolded her and questioned her position after she put a post calling out Israel’s bombing of the Gaza strip.
On November 4, 2023, Jon Voight took to his X account, formerly Twitter, and defended Israel after Angelina Jolie accused the country of deliberate bombing and targeting civilians in the Gaza Strip.

“I am very disappointed,” the 84-year-old actor said in the video, adding that his daughter like so many has no understanding of “God’s honor, God’s truths.”
Mr. Voight publically slammed her daughter’s anti-Israel stance saying that the Israeli army must protect “thy soil, thy people” by labeling it a “war.” The Academy Award winner captioned the three-minute-long video “Truth and lies.”
Last week, the 48-year-old American actress and filmmaker took to her official Instagram account and condemned Israel’s attack on Palestinian civilians which resulted in the killing of several innocent children, women, and families all while being deprived of basic needs including food, medicine, and humanitarian aid.
In her post, the Maleficent actress targeted Israel’s deliberate bombing of the “trapped population” who have nowhere to flee in her social media post calling Gaza an “open-air prison” for nearly two decades.
Angelina Jolie pointed out that Gaza is fast becoming a “mass grave” with 40% of those killed being innocent children. The actress also called out world leaders for failing to stop these innocent killings.
On October 29, 2023, in a previous post, the actress also referred to her experience working with the United Nations to help refugees. Netizens on social media hailed the actress for showing support and standing up for Palestine.

Gaza has been witnessing an innocent killing after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023. The Gaza health ministry confirmed that over 9,700 people had been killed, at least 4,008 of them being children. It’s day 31 of the ongoing war.
