A 104-year-old woman from the US has proved the saying “Age is just a number!”

Dorothy Hoffner, a 104-year-old woman hailing from the U.S. city of Chicago is going viral on the internet for skydiving- Yes! You heard it right.
Hoffner has reportedly broken the record by becoming the oldest person to skydive in the world.
Recently, Hoffner traded her walkers to jump out of an airplane by parachute in an attempt to become the oldest human in the world to skydive.
A video was recently shared on Instagram by Skydive Chicago, the skydiving agency that helped the lady accomplish the amazing feat.
Skydive Chicago through the video post revealed that 104-year-old Dorothy Hoffner wants to become the oldest person ever to skydive in the world. As per the post, the lady attempted the amazing stint last Sunday, October 1, 2023, in Ottawa, Illinois.
The video shows Dorothy smiling and calmly making her way to the airplane. The jump was reportedly carried out from an altitude of 4,100 meters.
The video of her amazing feat which was shared online, has amazed people. “I love this so much!!” an Instagram user wrote.
“What a super star,” another added. “My goodness, she’s okay afterward?” a third concerned user asked.
Meanwhile, Sweden’s Linnéa Ingegärd is said to hold the record for the oldest person to jump from such a height at the age of 103 in May 2022.
Although Hoffner’s record has not yet been certified, Skydive Chicago has contacted Guinness World Records for her amazing feat.
